The Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada (PEBC) is the national certification body for pharmacy professionals in Canada. With over 50 years of experience, PEBC assesses the qualifications and competence of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians for licensing by provincial regulatory authorities.

The primary purpose of PEBC Canada is to evaluate credentials, develop and administer the PEBC Qualifying Examination, and issue the Certificate of Qualification, which is mandatory for pharmacy licensing across Canada (except Quebec for pharmacists).

Under provincial pharmacy legislation, only candidates who obtain the PEBC Certificate of Qualification are eligible for pharmacist licensing in Canada. This applies to both Canadian graduates and internationally trained pharmacists (IPGs). The certification process ensures candidates meet required knowledge, clinical skills, and professional competency standards.
